The Founders

Social Bean was founded by Gen and Mark, with a love for good coffee, good food and the simple idea of creating a place people genuinely enjoy coming back to. Their journey into coffee started with a desire to build something of their own, something independent, personal and rooted in the local community. From learning the craft of coffee to developing the menu and serving customers every day, they’ve been hands-on with Social Bean from the very beginning.

For them, running a coffee shop is about more than what’s in the cup. It’s about remembering someone’s usual order, knowing the faces that walk through the door and creating the kind of local spot where people feel welcome. That’s what Social Bean is all about, great coffee, familiar faces and a little place to feel part of something.
